Room # 301 - ZARAGOZA

Dopo un breve viaggio in mezzo al nulla, scoprendo che la maggior parte della Spagna è un'enorme altopiano totalmente secco d'estate, siamo arrivati a Zaragoza, nostra prossima tappa. Anche qua l'albergo non presentava particolari difficoltà, se non quella di essere anonimo e decisamente piccolo. Avrò pure scoperto l'uovo di Colombo, ma con questo lavoro sto giungendo alla conclusione che per quanto possa essere complicato realizzare un'immagine, per quanto possa essere complicato un set pieno di luci e di calcoli per la corretta esposizione, nulla potrà mai raggiungere la difficoltà di lavorare su un soggetto anonimo, banale e se vogliamo pure bruttino! Uno infatti ci può girare attorno quanto vuole, volendo buttarla sul tecnico, può anche cercare di inventarsi un set stile "Guerre Stellari", ma tirare fuori qualcosa di decente resta sempre complicato.
Abbandonando il lavoro, finiti gli scatti siamo andati a fare i "turisti" in giro per Zaragoza, città molto più turistica di quanto ci aspettassimo. Il problema è che dopo il primo impatto grandioso con il Santuario della Virgen Pilar, opera tanto barocca quanto grandiosa, il resto passa in secondo piano, compresa il Castillo de la Aljaferìa, meraviglioso ma totalmente isolato in un quartiere moderno. La sera, forse ormai troppo entrati nella parte dei turisti, abbiamo scoperto che anche noi italiani abbiamo le nostre catene di ristoranti in franchising, si chiama in fatti La Tagliatella ( Guardate qua ) e sostiene di essere un vecchio pastificio di Terni. Insomma ... sapori di casa nostra in giro per il mondo, con la solità aggiunta dello studio dei locali per dare una versione "da straniero" alle atmosfere di casa nostra. Devo confessare, comunque, che la pasta era al dente e buona (o la fame tanta!!!). Mi riprometto al più presto di pubblicare le foto su Flickr ed i video su YouTube....

After a short trip to the middle of nowhere, discovering that most of Spain is a huge plateau completely dry in summer, we're arrived in Zaragoza, our next step. Even here the hotel was no major difficulty, but to be anonymous and very small. Will I also discovered the obvious solution, but with this job I'm concluding that it may be difficult to achieve an image, no matter how complicated a set full of lights and calculations for the correct exposure, nothing can ever be as difficult as of working on a subject anonymous, banal and even a little bit ugly!

Abandoning the work, finished the shots we went around Zaragoza as "tourists", a city much more touristy than we expected. The problem is that after the first impact with the grand Sanctuary of the Virgen Pilar, building as baroque as grand, the rest goes into the background, including Aljafería Palace, wonderful but totally isolated in a modern district. In the evening, perhaps too joined the party of tourists, we discovered that we Italians have our franchise restaurant chains, is called La Tagliatella ( Look at this ) and claims to be an old pasta factory in Terni. Well ... flavors of our house around the world, with the usual addition of the study of the ambient to give a version "from foreign" to the atmosphere of our house. I must confess, however, that the pasta was al dente and good enough (or I was so hungry !!!). I intend soon to publish the photos on Flickr and videos on YouTube ....
